Background of MedEd LawTM
MedEd LawTM Consulting, LLC is a forensic nurse–led coaching and consulting firm that partners with youth, families, professionals, and community agencies across the State of Colorado. We provide education, training, consultation, and advocacy to address the forensic, health, social, and systemic factors that affect one’s ability to thrive.
Mission
To support parents, professionals, and organizations in creating health-promoting relationships and safe spaces with children, adolescents, and survivors of violence using a proactive, upstream, multidisciplinary, trauma-informed “Village” approach to help achieve the best possible outcomes.

Expert Consultation & Testimony
We provide expert consultation to professionals and community agencies to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and improve their approaches, responses, and support for survivors, youth, and families helping to bridge gaps in access to care, resources, and essential services.
We also provide expert testimony in both civil and criminal court systems.
Education & Training
We educate and train professionals and community agencies on medical-forensic issues to strengthen their knowledge, improve trauma-informed responses, and enhance the quality of care and support provided to youth, families, and survivors impacted by trauma, violence, exploitation, and adversity.
We also empower youth, families, and survivors of trauma to take ownership of their health and well-being by providing comprehensive health promotion education, violence prevention resources, and ongoing, compassionate support.
Advance Nursing Care
We provide comprehensive health assessments, including health assessment tool evaluations and medication utilization review, to identify and address both potential and existing medical needs upon request.
Care Coordination & Collaboration
We facilitate the coordination & navigation of care, services, resources, and 504/IEP plans for youth, families & survivors.
We also promote effective collaboration and communication among stakeholders to ensure continuity of services and timely, appropriate follow-up.
Process Improvement & Evaluation
We support policy review, data collection and analysis, and the facilitation of process improvement initiatives to mitigate risk factors, prevent further trauma, and strengthen protective factors to achieve optimal outcomes.
Sustainable Practice Enhancement
We develop educational materials, including handouts and training videos, for professionals, agencies, and staff to promote continuity and consistency among both new and existing employees.
